Academics
As a UCF Knight, I have had the opportunity to participate in various activities that have certainly impacted my academic and personal growth. I took part in an internship, and I was also privileged to become a member of two prestigious law fraternities: Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity's Society of Scholars and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. These honors not only attest to my academic abilities but also prepare me for my future career in law.

Taking part in Phi Alpha Delta's speaker series with the American Bar Association nationwide has transformed my experiences. The Alaska Native Corporations and the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act webinar were especially impactful. It was more than a lecture, with interactive opportunities allowing me to explore landmark cases in depth. We analyzed these cases in detail, looking at all the legal complexities involved. This helped me grasp the complexities of the law, and more significantly, it allowed me to use the theoretical knowledge I practically got from my law-related classes. The webinar was not just an academic exercise, but a practical application of the law, addressing issues that impact people's lives. It was at this point that I genuinely realized the impact a lawyer can have, reminding me why I want to be a lawyer, not just for the challenge but also to be effective. This experience shaped how I see the legal profession, showing me that being a lawyer isn't just understanding the law, but also advocating for equality. Lawyers use skills and knowledge to make society better, and that's the kind of lawyer I want to be. I also regularly attended Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity sessions and workshops during this academic journey. These sessions have helped me explore different legal topics that have always fascinated me, providing a strong base for my research as a future Honors Thesis Undergraduate Research (HUT) student. As a prospective law student, I have taken an interest in how citizenship and the law overlap. I think attorneys have a special duty to support justice and equality by using their abilities, and these meetings have affirmed this perspective.
The weekly updates and meetings arranged by The National Leadership and Success (NSLS) are also a big part of my process. These meetings remind me how vital strong relationships are to success. They stress the significance of being authentic, taking risks, maintaining contact, and becoming a great networker. Notable speakers such as Emily Balcetis and Eliza VanCort shared their perspectives on leadership and success during these events, improving my understanding. Overall, their insights have been crucial in shaping my approach to leadership and community service. In conclusion, I think that my participation in these activities has been invaluable for my academic journey and personal growth. I am eager to take part in these activities at UCF and take advantage of the opportunities they offer and thrilled to share how they have influenced my journey as a UCF Knight.
